Registration is closed

This is intended for intermediate to advanced players.

This higher level competition will be held from 8:00AM - 11:00AM Every Saturday morning from November 5, 2022 - March 25, 2023.

Each session will begin with challenge court for two hours and end with open play for the last hour.

Challenge court will start having players placed on courts 1-4, with court 1 as the top court and court 4 is the bottom court. Players will start the day placed on courts by NSPA rating. If you do not have a rating, players will start toward the bottom.

During challenge court, players losing on the last court will sit for 1 round and return after the round is over. Players consistently losing, may sit for up to half of the time. Players winning games will continue moving up and will have continuous play.

This is competitive play. Please be courteous and come prepared to compete.

How do I know if I should play on Saturday mornings with the NSPA intermediate/advanced group? Consider the following:

  • Do you have either a UTPR or NSPA rating (NOT DUPR), and if not, do you know how to get one?
  • Are you still learning the basics of strokes, scoring, and strategy?
  • Have you ever played in a tournament of over 100 competitors at the 4.0 or level or higher? If so, how did you do?
  • Have you played less than 6 months?
  • Do you frequently find yourself on the bottom court, or sitting out during challenge play?
  • Are your opponents hitting the ball mostly in your direction when trying to win points?
  • Are you out of position often? Are you not sure if you are; or not quite sure what that means?
  • Do you have over a 50% success rate in your third shot attempts? Do you understand what that means?
  • Do you run out of position to avoid certain shots (i.e. backhand)?
  • Do you find yourself off the court often during a point?

Consider some of these things prior to registering.

Refunds offered up until 48 hours prior to the event.

If an event is full, and a spot opens due to a cancellation, the next player on the waitlist will be moved into the open spot. An invoice will be created and sent to the player, and if the invoice is not paid in a timely manner, the player will move back down to the waitlist and the next player in line will take the spot.

Come join other NSPA members for some competitive play.

Cost: $12.00/session
